Nice to meet you
ABOUT ME
My fascination with the preservation of historical architecture began in high school when I watched a documentary about the conservation efforts in the Forbidden City in China. I first encountered the charm of architectural preservation. A cluster of 600-year-old gigantic wooden structures still standing today in their original majestic forms is nothing short of a miracle. The film revealed a collaborative effort among engineers, architects, craftsmen, historians, and artists, showcasing how architecture transcends its role as shelter to become a living record of engineering, artistry, and cultural history.
I am an architectural engineering graduate from Penn State. The technical knowledge and skills I gained in the past four years allow me to appreciate the fundamentals underneath a building’s aesthetic appearance, and my fascination with architecture has grown even more intense. In school, I was involved in a variety of construction or design projects and held leadership positions in most of these projects. I was recommended and accepted into the integrated master’s degree program to recognize my academic achievement and outstanding leadership.
